Hi, I am Sophia

Project manager. Parent. Expat residing in Cupertino, United States.

A number of years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new era of life overseas.

The Beginning

Moving to United States wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.

The initial few months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.

The Adaptation Phase

There was culture shock, doubt, and much learning by doing. Yet gradually routines fell into place. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.

Why I Created Neon Field Seed

Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow travel content. What was missing was genuine, everyday family insight.

This website aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in United States.

What This Site Is (And Isn't)

This site is:

  • Practical insights from living in United States
  • Centered on family life and everyday realities
  • Updated whenever a real change occurs

This site isn't:

  • Not a tourism authority resource
  • Not a sponsored review platform
  • Not a generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our time in United States goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Cupertino or anywhere in United States, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Sophia
